Purpose of the Award

The YALS Teen Librarian of the Year Award was created in 2024 to recognize the Teen Librarians and other teen -serving library staff in New Hampshire who are making positive differences in their communities every day.
 

Award Criteria and Nomination Procedure

Nominees must:

  1. Work in a library (public or school) in New Hampshire
  2. Not be a current YALS board member

Two professional references are required

  • If nominating yourself, please provide 2 professional references.
  • If nominating another person, the person nominating counts as 1 of the 2 references.

The YALS board will review the nominations and pick a winner, which will be announced at the YALS Fall Conference. The winner will be awarded $250 for their library and a $50 gift card to their local bookstore.
